This is by far one of my favorite cocktails. It’s simple, refreshing and easy to make. It only has 3 ingredients; lime, sugar and rum.
There is something special about 3 ingredient cocktails. The simplicity of it makes it look like there is no much to it, but it’s also so easy to get wrong!
I have been lucky enough to make both good and bad Daiquiris. The bad ones I made them while doing some R&D in Nicaragua, but in the end it all worked out.
Here is my recipe for a good one. Please consider the rum, the lime and the syrup you are using and adjusts as necessary.
2 oz White rum - I used Plantation 3 stars
0.75 oz Lime Juice
0.75 Heavy simple syrup (2:1)
Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain in a chilled cocktail glass.
Lime wheel garnish is optional.
